This was a very interesting one to do, and sent me in a different direction. I was getting the hang of painting with spots, and this one was a lesson on blending tones, then incorporating the color spots.
I really didn't know what it was going to be, except that I knew that it was going to be some kind of blue sky with clouds, and I really just gave myself up to the guiding forces, and just watched myself paint. It was very joyful; I was really learning to trust and not question too much.
At first I thought it was odd that it had this spiral design. After I had the background and clouds done, bubbles "appeared" on the canvas - which sent me into giggles. It is perhaps my favorite painting.
